Playing It Safe
Safety is much more than having a documentable program; it’s a state of mind. At Star, it’s all about attitude. It’s our attitude toward safety that fosters an environment where safety is vital. We make a conscious effort to continually improve our safety program.
Every member of our team goes through a safety orientation and is required to sign off on our Safety and Health Plan. This plan is also provided to our customers when asked for on certain projects. The Star Excavating Safety Program includes:
- Monthly Safety Meetings
- View Safety Videos
- On-site ‘Tool Box Talks’
- OSHA Training Sessions
- MSHA Training Refreshers
- We also invite speakers to discuss safety procedures with our team during winter months.
